Band Bio:
John Krane is a pop artist located in Saint Louis, where he has appeared on local radio and at local establishments promoting his unusual brand of electronic rock. His new album, Doris, Buzz and Friends, kicks off with a song about linguistic experiments on dolphins before winding through political satire, a meditation on Chan Marshall's neck vein (which is quite large), a haunting piano driven tune about a proposed alternative to the nuclear bomb, and more.

The standard way of things is to compare an independent artist to established acts, and by that coin, John Krane sounds like Jeff Tweedy singing Randy Newman songs over a barrage of odd electronic instrumentation, but his lyrical depth and sense of melody (hopefully) elevate him into his own field.

Influences:
Wilco, Paul Simon, Randy Newman, Harry Nilsson, The Beatles, Pet Shop Boys, Jeff Tweedy, Super Mario Bros 3

Sounds Like:
Wilco singing Randy Newman over a wide variety of instrumentation.
